Correct, but a study showed that donations from academics to the REP were stable around 40% up until 2k where it fell down to 10% & even less from 2020-21 (& it's the same in industry). This was caused by the REP's explicit turn away from science, not from a bias of academics. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41599-022-01382-3
