Original Note:
A regime is democratic if and only if people are free to choose, including to remove, governments. Cuba only one person runs for each seat in the National Assembly and no candidate for the Assembly has ever lost an election in Cuban history. Cuba is not a democracy. https://www.journalofdemocracy.org/articles/who-decides-what-is-democratic/ https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/latin-american-politics-and-society/article/abs/authoritarian-regimes-and-their-permitted-oppositions-election-day-outcomes-in-cuba/3F9E5B1A4EB059A316A9AB2BB0628216#
