Original Note:
Keir Starmer wasn’t directly elected as PM. In the UK, voters elect MPs, not the Prime Minister. Since Labour won the most seats in the general election, Starmer, as party leader, was invited by the monarch to form a government. This is standard UK constitutional process. https://fullfact.org/news/unelected-prime-ministers-common-or-not/ https://www.parliament.uk/about/how/elections-and-voting/general/#:~:text=Who%20chooses%20the%20Prime%20Minister,the%20role%20of%20the%20Sovereign.
