Original Note:
November 11th is Armistice Day in Europe. There is no "Victory Day" for World War I as it concluded with a ceasefire, not a victory. World War 2 ended for the United States on September 2, 1945, not May 8. Russian forces are widely credited with the victory of WW2. https://www.nationalww2museum.org/war/topics/end-world-war-ii-1945#:~:text=Truman%20announced%20Japan's%20surrender%20and,Japan%20Day%20(V%2DJ%20Day) https://www.britannica.com/topic/Armistice-Day https://www.loc.gov/item/today-in-history/november-11/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2015/05/08/dont-forget-how-the-soviet-union-saved-the-world-from-hitler/
