Original Note:

SoCal had the driest start to the wet season in history, resulting in record dry fuels. In a normal climate, 9” of rain should’ve fallen by January, making fuels not as receptive to sparks. This fall, rain was 0”, combined with 100mph winds & 4% humidity, any spark can ignite. https://weatherwest.com/archives/43193
