Original Note:
Hydrofluorosilicic acid is an additive used to fluoridate water. Like many chemicals, it is toxic in its pure form. But it never reaches consumers, and the resulting fluoride it creates is diluted in water treatment plants to a safe level for use: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2022/jul/12/facebook-posts/fluoride-safe-your-toothpaste-and-drinking-water-e/ https://origins.osu.edu/article/toxic-treatment-fluorides-transformation-industrial-waste-public-health-miracle https://www.nature.com/articles/4812863 https://msdh.ms.gov/page/43,24339,151,220.html https://friscominimolars.com/weird-kind-disgusting-history-fluoride/ https://thelandingdentalspa.com/fluoride-and-its-benefits/
