Objects moving away will appear to approach the vanishing point while shrinking in size. The streetlights are going away from us. But the Sun is not. It crosses the vanishing point, doesn't shrink in size, and it is obscured by the horizon in a sunset due to Earth's rotation. https://flatearth.ws/perspective
