The post presents is misleading on two counts: it presents a tax raise as the removal of a tax break. Secondly, the VAT being charged on school fees is not hypothecated - the money raised isn’t reserved for extra spending on education, it’s just more tax. https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-10125/
