Original Note:

Constellations seem unchanging because stars are so distant—hundreds to thousands of light-years away. Though stars move, their shifts are imperceptible over human lifetimes. Changes in their shapes and positions take tens of thousands of years. Space is incredibly vast. https://www.scienceabc.com/nature/universe/are-the-constellations-always-going-to-look-the-same-as-they-look-today.html
