Original Note:
This is an airplane contrail, which is visible at night because they reflect moonlight or city light. Contrails are essentially tiny ice crystals that wouldn't be visible without a light source to reflect off of. The moon, or city light, provides this light source. https://www.space.com/what-are-contrails https://contrailscience.com/short-sunlit-contrails-look-like-ufos/ https://www.cnn.com/us/chemtrails-conspiracy-theory-explained-cec/index.html
