Original Note:
Polar motion was well studied long before NASA existed. Many people, including Inuit, theorized that recent irregular movement is related to climate change, which is now widely accepted. Groundwater is likely still a small factor compared to the effects of ice melt. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-funded-studies-explain-how-climate-is-changing-earths-rotation/ https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.1501693 https://environment.uw.edu/news/2022/04/the-stars-have-moved-how-climate-change-is-impacting-the-planet-at-multiple-scales/
