Original Note:
Modern mammography equipment uses very low doses of radiation. The radiation dose from a mammogram is equal to about two months of background radiation for the average woman. Compressing the breast during mammography does not cause breast cancer. https://cancer.ca/en/treatments/tests-and-procedures/mammography https://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/breast-cancer-myths/a-mammogram-can-cause-breast-cancer-to-spread/ https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/breast-cancer/6-mammogram-myths
