Original Note:
The ‘holiday season’ in the United Kingdom principally takes place in late summer. The period covering Advent, Christmas and New Year in the UK is simply called ‘Christmastime’ or ‘the festive period’. Britons do not say ‘holiday season’ or ‘happy holidays’ as Americans do. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2013/dec/22/better-to-say-merry-christmas-or-happy-holidays https://www.bbc.com/news/business-52632976 https://www.reddit.com/r/AskABrit/s/4AZwk47M4Y
