It is illegal to wear any political merchandise within 100 feet of polling locations in Michigan. This poll worker was doing his job to enforce the law. He was not preventing her from voting, but telling her she needs to remove her hat in order to be able to vote. https://www.michigan.gov/sos/elections/voting/vote-on-election-day
