Missing important context. At the time of the 1924 Indian Citizenship Act, about 175,000 of 300,000 Natives were considered US citizens through treaties & legal processes. Many could vote; many faced obstacles. Some states barred voting through state law until 1948. https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/on-this-day-in-1924-all-indians-made-united-states-citizens#:~:text=The%20issue%20of%20American%20Indian%20birthright%20citizenship%20wouldn%E2%80%99t%20be%20settled%20until%201924%20when%20the%20Indian%20Citizenship%20Act%20conferred%20citizenship%20on%20all%20American%20Indians.%20At%20the%20time%2C%20125%2C000%20of%20an%20estimated%20population%20of%20300%2C000%20American%20Indians%20weren%E2%80%99t%20citizens https://www.jstor.org/stable/41887472?seq=1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Citizenship_Act#:~:text=The%20Indian%20Citizenship%20Act%20of%201924%20declared,Indian%20voting%20because%20of%20a%20judicial%20decision
