Original Note:

The court has not found Tory Lanez “to be innocent.” A writ of habeas corpus is a fundamental right. It is the last resort for a convicted person to challenge their conviction, when all other court options have been exhausted. The court has simply acknowledged the written plea. https://courts.ca.gov/cms/rules/index.cfm?title=four&linkid=rule4_551
