Original Note:
This is called Trachipterus ishikawae, a relative of the oarfish, though it is a different species. Its Japanese name, ‘Sake-Gashira’,(literally Split-head, not King of sermons ), refers to how its snout extends in a way that makes the face appear as if it’s splitting apart. https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%B5%E3%82%B1%E3%82%AC%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A9 https://x.com/TIGER_WhiteCat/status/1849111397093048747
