Original Note:

Studies show that the warming due to the stratospheric water vapor added by Hunga was offset by the larger stratospheric aerosol attenuation of solar radiation. This would result in a slight net cooling. The effect decreased to near zero by the end of 2023. https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1029/2024JD041296
