Original Note:

We are approaching a maximum in the 11 year solar activity cycle and seeing larger solar flares which are visible further from the poles. The current maximum is more prevalent as satellite observations now provide warnings of aurora events. https://www.sdsu.edu/news/2024/05/qa-as-the-sun-nears-its-11-year-solar-maximum-what-can-we-expect-here-on-earth https://lasco-www.nrl.navy.mil/
