Asperitas clouds are characterized by wave-like structures in the underside; sometimes descending into sharp points. Varying levels of illumination and thickness of the cloud can lead to dramatic visual effects. Asperitas clouds most frequently occur after thunderstorms. https://cloudatlas.wmo.int/en/clouds-supplementary-features-asperitas.html
