NNN- 18 U.S. Code § 597 - Expenditures to influence voting. Even in the given context of “helping someone in need” it is still considered illegal under this specific code to influence a voter monetarily. Giving someone in need money definitely secures their vote. https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?path=/prelim@title18/part1/chapter29&edition=prelim#:~:text=%C2%A7597.,Expenditures%20to%20influence%20voting&text=of%20his%20vote%E2%80%94-,Shall%20be%20fined%20under%20this%20title%20or%20imprisoned%20not%20more,than%20two%20years%2C%20or%20both.
