Original Note:
Monkeypox is caused by a completely different virus than shingles - they aren’t even in the same family. Also, monkeypox (contagious) is a primary infection caused by contact with active disease. Shingles (not contagious) is reactivation of the virus that causes chickenpox. https://www.reuters.com/article/fact-check/recent-monkeypox-cases-are-not-mistaken-shingles-and-not-caused-by-shingles-vir-idUSL2N2XI2H1/ https://archive.is/gIvfJ
