Original Note:
Parisians have enjoyed street food since the Middle Ages, with "cris" (cries) for such foods as hand pies, almonds, cabbage, and even dried whale blubber recorded over the centuries. Street food receded only in the 20th Century. Kebabs have been sold since the '90s. https://talkpal.ai/culture/understanding-parisian-street-food-culture/#:~:text=Street%20food%20in%20Paris%20is,of%20simple%20yet%20flavorful%20dishes. https://theconversation.com/the-doner-kebab-an-unlikely-symbol-of-european-identity-117025
