Original Note:
While the Supreme Court has ruled that a US President can never be prosecuted for Federal charges, there is currently nothing barring a president from being prosecuted at a state level. Furthermore, outside of specific circumstances, murder is a state crime. https://www.sergiosanchezlaw.com/blog/2023/09/when-does-murder-become-a-federal-charge/ https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf/23-939_e2pg.pdf
