"Female" refers to sex at birth, not gender. A female trans would suggest someone born female transitioning to male, which is the opposite of this situation. This headline is therefore misleading. It should read: Kaz Self is the first Trans Woman to have been elected Cllr. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/equality-act-2010-guidance
