CBC does not own the broadcast rights for the NHL playoffs. Those rights belong to Rogers. https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/deal-gives-rogers-rights-to-all-nhl-games-through-2025-26/ Rogers sublicensed their broadcast rights to the CBC and retained the rights under the deal to pull CBCs right to broadcast the games. All Stanley Cup final games will be on CBC https://www.nhl.com/schedule/2024-06-13
