Original Note:
Fires can, indeed, be started on spaceships while in space. NASA Scientists have proven this to be the case with their own experiments due to how fire operates differently in space and how its own fuel and oxygen would keep the flame alive. https://technology.nasa.gov/nasa-technology-fights-wildfires#:~:text=Fires%20can%27t%20start%20in%20space%20because%20there%20is,since%20there%20are%20no%20firefighters%20or%20escape%20routes. https://www.wired.com/2016/06/watch-nasa-set-fire-space-purpose/ https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/in-space-flames-behave-in-ways-nobody-thought-possible-132637810/
