This is misleading. Next to the word “Palestine” in Hebrew (פלשתינה), there are two letters which read א״י which translates to “ארץ ישראל / Eretz Israel״ or “Land of Israel” in English. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D7%90%D7%B4%D7%99 The land of the levant has been called “Eretz Israel” for thousands of years. https://www.dictionary.com/browse/eretz--yisrael https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of_Israel
