Original Note:
"Sabaya" literally means "female captives". However, according to classical Islamic law, Sabaya can be taken as concubines. The term is therefore often used to describe women who are captured and forced into sexual slavery, especially by extremist groups like ISIS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prisoners_of_war_in_Islam https://seekersguidance.org/answers/general-answers-feeds/what-rights-do-female-captives-of-war-have-in-islam/ https://islamqa.org/shafii/seekersguidance-shafii/241490/how-are-enslaved-women-treated-under-muslim-rule/ https://islamqa.org/hanafi/qibla-hanafi/42543/sex-with-slaves-and-womens-rights-5/ https://www.iir.cz/institutionalization-of-sexual-slavery-within-the-isis-territory#:~:text=All%20those%20women%20in%20captivity,an%20official%20term%20among%20ISIS.
