Original Note:

Lyme disease is considerably older than the 1960s. Cases of Lyme disease were first described in 1883. A 5,300 year old mummy had Lyme disease. A 15-million year old tick fossilized in amber was found to contain the bacterium that causes the disease. https://www.bayarealyme.org/about-lyme/history-lyme-disease/ https://today.oregonstate.edu/archives/2014/may/amber-discovery-indicates-lyme-disease-older-human-race https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-642-77614-4_2
