Counter-Strike did have balance changes before the release of CS Source (i.e. 1.5 played different from 1.6) Also this greentext doesn't clarify the term "events" and some people might think it's ingame events while others will think it's tournaments, which it had a lot of. https://www.hltv.org/legacystats/events
