Original Note:

It is more accurate to say we are currently in a Pole Drift. Pole Shifts are generally not associated with climate change and historically have not caused global environmental upheaval or mass extinctions. There is no hard evidence that we are currently in a Pole Shift. https://science.nasa.gov/science-research/earth-science/flip-flop-why-variations-in-earths-magnetic-field-arent-causing-todays-climate-change/
