Original Note:

The “pulse” along the outflow seen in the western sector are gravity waves, which occur when one air parcel displaces another before returning to equilibrium via gravity. They can also be caused by topography. This is a natural phenomenon, not something caused by radar. https://www.weather.gov/source/zhu/ZHU_Training_Page/Miscellaneous/gravity_wave/gravity_wave.html https://www.nesdis.noaa.gov/news/earth-orbit-gravity-waves https://climate.ucdavis.edu/ATM121/AtmosphericDynamics-Chapter06-Part03-InternalGravityWaves.pdf
