Original Note:
GMO crops are engineered to produce a protein from the bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis, which is toxic to specific insect pests but not to humans or other mammals. This is different from the insecticide found in Raid. Pesticide use in crops is decreasing. https://www.nongmoproject.org/blog/the-gmo-high-risk-list-corn/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC212689/ https://allianceforscience.org/blog/2020/07/new-study-gmo-crops-reduce-pesticide-use-greenhouse-gas-emissions/ https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/002432.htm
