This college protest is from the 60's and 70's as evidenced by hairstyles and clothing. Israel was founded in 1948 by UN decree. These are not the fashions of the 1930's or 40's. The use of the term Israel in placards is further evidence that it already existed at that time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Israel
