Original Note:

A broken contrail, where the trail appears to stop and then start again a ways away, can occur when a plane ascends or descends through layers with different humidity levels. The amount of water in the exhaust is constant, but the amount of moisture in the air is not. https://contrailscience.com/broken-contrails/ https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/why-do-jets-leave-a-white/ https://airplaneacademy.com/why-do-some-airplanes-leave-contrails-and-others-dont/ https://www.aerosociety.com/news/chemtrails-debunked/ https://www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-62240071
