Original Note:
The contributor to the striking red hue of the sands is the presence of iron oxide minerals, known as hematite. It’s simply because of the red soil which has a high concentration of iron oxide. This has been present since its geological formation 300 million years ago. https://itto.org/iran/attraction/red-beach-of-hormuz-persian-gulf/ https://www.geologyin.com/2023/08/the-red-beach-how-geological-processes.html?m=1 https://www.theglobetrottingdetective.com/hormuz-island-rainbow-island-iran/
