Original Note:

Single day averages of temperatures are not indicative of widespread rising global temperature anomalies observed over the past several decades. Also the 2024 sea ice extent in Antarctica is the second-lowest on record, behind 2023. Overall trend has been less, thinner ice. https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/images/152547/antarctic-sea-ice-at-near-historic-lows
