Trump talks about one muderer, then about immigrants in general (the ones Democrats tell him not to call animals). Then he calls “them” (plural) animals. The only possible interpretation is that he says immigrants are animals. Perhaps he misspoke, but it is what the words say. https://www.grammarly.com/grammar
