Original Note:

The lift-off of the Apollo 17 Lunar Module ascent stage on December 14, 1972 was captured by a television camera mounted on the lunar rover. NASA in Houston had to anticipate the timing of ignition, liftoff, and rate of climb to control the camera tilt to follow the ascent. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HQfauGJaTs https://airandspace.si.edu/stories/editorial/leaving-moon-watching-home
