Original Note:
There is no business case for exporting LNG right now. World prices are historically low & storage in Asia & Europe is historically high. Prices are tanking in 2024. The market isn't forecasted to rebound until 2030-2040. We don't have the infrastructure. https://www.forbes.com/sites/gauravsharma/2024/03/27/global-lng-market-sliding-prices-in-2024-rising-opportunities-by-2030/ https://energynow.ca/2024/01/global-gas-lng-prices-to-remain-relatively-weak-in-2024-amid-subdued-demand-woodmac/?amp https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/industry-news/energy-and-resources/article-global-gas-lng-prices-to-remain-relatively-weak-in-2024-amid-subdued/ https://www.nationalobserver.com/2024/02/07/news/europes-record-renewable-use-weakens-case-lng-canada https://financialpost.com/commodities/energy/oil-gas/repsol-scraps-east-coast-canada-lng-plan https://www.iisd.org/articles/deep-dive/canadian-lng-not-eu-energy-crisis-solution https://twitter.com/andrew_leach/status/1772828358210150910?t=ltcbfiG5ujZ0Cf9C4WGWEA&s=19
