Original Note:

Speed of light depends on the material it passes through. It can be calculated by dividing vacuum speed of light by refraction index. In case of optic fiber, refraction index is about 1.4682, therefore the speed is calculated like: 299,792,458 m/s / 1.4682 = 204,190,477m/s. https://web.phys.ksu.edu/posters/2009/juma-Adv-Lab-S09.pdf https://www.quora.com/What-is-precisely-the-speed-of-light-in-fiber-optics https://www.genuinemodules.com/how-to-calculate-the-speed-of-light-in-an-optical-fibre_a2976
