Original Note:
The claim that mammograms are linked to an 84% increase in breast cancer deaths is extremely inaccurate. Studies have shown that routine screening mammography does reduce breast cancer deaths in women aged 40 to 75. Mammograms are valuable for early detection. https://www.cancer.gov/news-events/cancer-currents-blog/2023/mammography-older-women-breast-cancer-overdiagnosis https://blackdotresearch.sg/mammograms-breast-cancer-deaths/ https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/breast-cancer/screening-tests-and-early-detection/american-cancer-society-recommendations-for-the-early-detection-of-breast-cancer.html https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamaoncology/fullarticle/2811409 https://bmcmedimaging.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12880-018-0303-3 https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/news-punch/
