Original Note:
While never done on a large scale, Nazis during WWII did engage in the production of soap using victims from concentration camps. This was proven by examination of soap samples as well as testimony at the Nuremberg Trials from those who made the soap, such as Sigmund Mazur. https://avalon.law.yale.edu/imt/02-19-46.asp https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/news/human-fat-was-used-to-produce-soap-in-gdansk-during-the-war,55.html https://en.m.wikisource.org/wiki/Testimony_of_Sigmund_Mazur_before_the_International_Military_Tribunal_in_Nurenberg_in_the_case_of_Danzig_Anatomical_Institute
