Original Note:

Intersex people do not make up a "significant" portion of the population. The 1.7% cited in the proposed note is incorrect. This would include those with Klinefelter syndrome in males and Turner syndrome in females. The true figure is closer to 0.018%. https://statsforgender.org/it-is-not-true-that-1-7-of-the-population-is-intersex-the-proportion-of-people-with-dsds-intersex-conditions-is-0-018/ https://ihra.org.au/16601/intersex-numbers/
