Original Note:
The oft reported figure of women earning $0.80 for every $1.00 men earn is an average. On average men work higher paying jobs and more hours per year than women. Equal pay for equal work already exists under the Equal Pay Act (1963) and Civil Rights Act (1964). https://www.forbes.com/sites/karinagness/2016/04/12/dont-buy-into-the-gender-pay-gap-myth/ https://www.iwf.org/2023/03/13/5-myths-to-bust-about-the-gender-pay-gap/ https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/there-really-is-no-gender-wage-gap-there-is-a-gender-earnings-gap-but-paying-women-well-wont-close-that-gap/ https://fee.org/articles/harvard-study-gender-pay-gap-explained-entirely-by-work-choices-of-men-and-women/ https://time.com/3222543/wage-pay-gap-myth-feminism/
