Original Note:

The 1998 study claiming vaccines caused autism was retracted for fraudulent data, and the doctor who ran it was disbarred for professional misconduct. https://www.chop.edu/centers-programs/vaccine-education-center/vaccines-and-other-conditions/vaccines-autism https://web.archive.org/web/20110809092833/http://www.gmc-uk.org/Wakefield_SPM_and_SANCTION.pdf_32595267.pdf https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10376617/ https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/nejmoa021134
