Original Note:
The “Palestinians” in reference were the Jews that fought in the British Army against the Nazis. Up until the 1960s, the word “Palestinian” was used specifically to refer to Jews. The Arabs of the area mostly supported the Nazis, as they had rebelled in 1936-1939. https://www.yadvashem.org/holocaust/about/combat-resistance/jewish-soldiers.html https://www.shapell.org/manuscript/british-palestinian-jewish-brigade-fights-nazi-germany-1944/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_Brigade https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1936%E2%80%931939_Arab_revolt_in_Palestine
