Though these are the stats from the NYPD site, both this post and the NYPD site fail to mention that convictions are down. https://www.nyc.gov/site/nypd/news/p00100/nypd-citywide-crime-statistics-february-2024 These stats track the number of convictions, NOT how many crimes are being committed.
