Original Note:

This is patently wrong for the simplest of reasons - the sun does not block any view of the stars or the constellations. The nearest star is Proxima Centauri is 4.35 light years away, so it doesn’t matter which side of the sun we’re on to see it or any other distant object. https://www.wtamu.edu/~cbaird/sq/mobile/2013/10/16/why-are-all-the-stars-fixed-in-space/ https://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/features/cosmic/nearest_star_info.html
